the birth of British punk, Detroit & Michigan punk date back to the 1960's the first time the word "punk" appeared in print media was relating to Clio, Michigan Mexican Punk rockers "? & the Mysterions"
Without Iggy Pop: Mr. Jim Osterberg or his spiritual father Jim Morison there would be no punk, this show mentioned above is Post-New York Dolls and Post-Ramones, all stuff Malcom was aware of before he started the Pistols, & all the bands that started that day June 4th 1976, Joy Division, The Clash, The Buzcocks, The Sex Pistols etc. ad infinitum they all had been Bowiefied & exposed to Iggy & the Doors, Jonathan Richman etc. before starting punk in the UK
    thanks

the birth of British punk, Detroit & Michigan punk goes back to the 1960's, the first time the word "punk" appeared in print media in relation to music was in relation to Clio, Michigan Mexican punk rockers "? & the Mysterions" then of course there is Iggy Pop; without Mr. Jim Osterberg & his influence & without punk grandfather Jim Morison there would be none of the music from June 4, 1976, which is also post-Dolls & post Ramones...
whick McClaren encountered before starting The Pistols...
