blinging it out

I’ve been personalizing the blog a bit more lately. I took about a half hour to read through flickr’s api and write a php code snippet that shows my latest flickr picture above my posts column. I did it to make my photos more prominent on the site, but I still don’t really feel like putting them in the main feed. If you want to see my pictures, subscribe to my flickr feed directly.
I also cleaned out some of the other items in the sidebar. After reading coding horror’s blog clichés, I removed the calendar, among other things.
I did violate one of the clichés, though, by adding more bling to the blog. The last 5 items from my delicious are now listed under the flickr badge. Are we getting personal now or what?

Somewhere along the line my CSS has gotten really crufty, and in Safari some of the sidebar lists look odd. Next on my list is to clean up the CSS with an eye towards improving readability. (Although don’t hold your breath.)
