Gmail Slow to Send Email — and I like it that way

Well, I don’t really like it that Gmail has been slow to send my email lately. What’s happening is, after I click the send button, the client hangs. Safari is showing a request is being made, but the request doesn’t complete, so the client just sits around, doing nothing.

It is, honestly, pretty annoying most of the time. But I’m finding that about 5% of the time that I’m waiting for an email to go through, I catch a spelling mistake, or something I forgot to say, or some sentence I could structure more clearly. And it’s taught me that spending an extra 10 seconds reviewing an email before I send it is time really well spent.

Still, 5% useful => 95% annoying.
