Consistent Taste

I was listening to Pandora today and a song came on that I didn’t recognize but within a few seconds I could tell I really liked it and I went to my Pandora window to click the thumbs-up “I like it” button. It was a song that I had already “liked” but I had forgotten all about it. (The song is “Wonderful Day” by OAR).

Clearly, my musical taste is pretty consistent. I’m sure most people are the same way — and that is a very promising thing for musical services like Pandora that cater to one’s (predictable) musical taste.

I also, within just a couple seconds, could tell that I didn’t like “Without You” by Clay Aiken, which I think is an indicator that I have consistent good taste.
