Chicago this weekend

Leaving behind the pleasant weather of the east coast, CT and I are heading to Chicago this weekend. Our first stop is going to be Alinea, the chemistry-defying restaurant headed by Grant Achatz. This will literally be our first stop. Our flight gets in in the early evening and we haul ass to the restaurant in order to make our reservation. But after that, it’s foamed cucumber and caramel salt bliss.

I was just browsing around outside.in chicago and found a neat post about how the CNA building crafts elaborate building-side Bears messages. It looks like our hotel isn’t going to be very far from there so I’m excited to check it out. I kind of wish we were going to be there during the super bowl so we could participate in the Chicago revelry, but honestly I’m too bummed that both my teams (Saints and Pats) bowed out last weekend.
