last-minute charity

There are still a few days to get a charity contribution in before the end of the tax year.  Two worthies are Heifer.org, which lets you donate animals to needy people in the third world.  I got a pig, some honeybees, some trees and some other items. Another cool one is kiva.org, where you can make microloans to third-world citizens.  CT and I chose Dimitar Georgiev, a mushroom farmer in Bulgaria, to give to.
